Living Worksheets are not suited for use with OPEN OFFICE.
Sheets have to be secure so only some cells are open, visible and active. Read only in Microsoft terms means the file cannot be overwritten, in Open Office Scalc it means that the file itself is locked and does not respond to input.
There is a way round it within Scalc itself, in that a copy can be opened for editing, but much of the formatting does not display correctly and anything using graphing functions and macros will not work.
Symbol font in Apple Mac with newer OSX now uses Unicode. This means it no longer has the same ASC codes as the PC version, so negates lots of work put in to make LW run on both platforms.
